 Testing Infrastructure

Untitled 1

One of the key focus areas of QCC is the establishment of the infrastructure to test and certify products against standards.

Currently Abu Dhabi Government testing facilities focus on food, water and construction, and are located across the Emirate. QCC has recognised the need to fill the gaps in the testing capabilities not filled by the existing labs.

In order to expand capability into new regulation areas, eliminate duplication of disciplines and achieve economies of scale, QCC has consolidated the existing testing assets into a Central Testing Laboratory (CTL).

CTL aims to provide testing, certification, inspection and training services as required by regulators. The facility also serves Abu Dhabi’s broader industry and consumer needs as well as international clients.

CTL currently has a multidisciplinary campus in Abu Dhabi city, a campus in Al Ain, and mobile facilities in Al Gharbia.

The new operating model will reduce the cost of testing for regulators and, through partnerships with the private sector, also lower the cost of operation of testing facilities for the government.

QCC has established a joint venture with an international testing brand to become its Middle East hub and a global Centre of Excellence based in Abu Dhabi Emirate.
